THE FINAL REVEAL…FINALLY!!

I am the worst blogger ever!  I have finally taken photos of my “finished” kitchen.  You may remember the awful before, seen here.  Finished is in quotations because I now see all of the things it is lacking!!  Oh well, that can be another blog on another day.

So without further adieu…

A vast improvement in my humble opinion. I am so proud of my organized cabinets!

The Alabama White marble counters turned out fantastic. Thanks Hardy!

I love my bamboo cutting board. I think the finish warms up the all white kitchen.

I had to accessorize to break up the white out! This is how it really looks on a daily basis, with maybe one or two dirty glasses.

I cannot decide on window treatments!! Any suggestions?

My awesome faucet! I believe is it a Danze bridge faucet.

My super functional basket! It holds my dish soap, herbs, drain stoppers, and of course sponges. Available at Parish. :)

Whew! I am so glad it is finished, well almost finished.

Well what do you guys think?  I think I need the following things to really finish the job:

1. beautiful antique oushak rug

2.  window treatments of some sort

3.  a hood instead of my ugly microwave

4.  the LOTTERY!

Hope you guys enjoyed reading about it.  Paul and I are definitely enjoying using it!!

    Hi Amanda!

Depending on the style of your home, you could do a pretty fabric valance mounted on medallions above the sink or, if you prefer a shade, a solid textured fabric, even burlap, woiuld be nice especially if you would like some privacy. You could trim the shade with a wide flat braid, or stencil a pretty design around the edges.

As for your idea about the antique oushak, it would be really pretty but, if you use your kitchen a lot, like I do, it would be hard to keep it clean. Everyone spills something eventually. Keep it away from the cooking area. There are lots of pretty indoor/outdoor rugs that are great for work areas and easy to care for.

Love what you have done and hope this helps! :)
