BEACH BATHROOM

Remember that post we did a while back about a beautiful beach house near Alys beach? Well, we’ve got some more work to do!

The master bathroom was pretty… But could have been taken up a few notches. This homeowner is entirely too creative to keep it this way. She was determined to make it a special place. After seeing her inspiration pics, we decided to get a little creative too!

Check out the bathroom before…

Now take a look at these fun inspiration pics

Things we took away from the inspiration pictures:

  • open storage (we are adding a skirt in front)
  • vessel sinks
  • wall mount faucets
  • better lighting (a must)
  • overall softer look

We went straight to the drawing board and started designing a new vanity. After a few adjustments, this is the final drawing.

The entire vanity – including the back splash – will be made from heart pine and washed in a sheer, light grey finish.

VANITY FINISH

Open shelving will be hidden by custom drapery.

The entire wall above the back splash will be mirror which will help brighten up the space. The sconce a will be mounted 66″ above the floor – this provides much more flattering light than sconces mounted above a mirror like you saw in the before pictures. It will be in Oil Rubbed Bronze.

The long drawer in the middle of the vanity will have an 8″ drop pull from Bouvet in a black finish.
